Buick Confirms Envista Will Come to America

The Buick Envista has been confirmed for American markets. The crossover SUV is currently available in China, but rumors speculated that it would make its way to America. Now, according to Buick, the 2023 Buick Envista will make its way to American dealerships. Although more pertinent details were not unveiled, like whether the crossover SUV will be imported from China or whether it will replace the Buick Encore, it does tell us that Buick is looking to enhance its lineup. Like many other automakers diving headfirst into electrification, Buick has been working on an all-electric SUV called the Buick Electra. Spy shots were recently discovered of the electric SUV so many are excited about its official debut. Until then, we have another exciting SUV to look forward to. We’ll take a look at the 2023 Envista and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Buick Envista Confirmed For American Markets

According to Buick, the 2023 Buick Envista will be making its way overseas to America. Currently available in China, the crossover SUV features a turbocharged 1.5L inline-four that’s capable of 181 horsepower. This 1.5L engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission. As for its size, the Envista has the following dimensions: 182.6 inches long with a 106.3-inch wheelbase. This puts it between the Encore and Envision in terms of size. We’re not sure if the Envista will replace either SUV, but about the Envista, General Motors President Mark Reuss said, 

“The Buick Envista is already in production in China, off the design of the Buick Wildcat. Getting ready for the United States here as well; just a beautiful addition to the Buick line-up,” said Mark Reuss.

While Reuss did not offer additional details about the crossover SUV, we do have some information like its pricing. The 2023 Envista will likely start at an MSRP of $21,450 (plus destination fee). As for its exterior, the crossover will feature a sharp front end, slim headlights, and a low grille. Inside, the interior cabin features elegant and flowy lines that emphasize the SUV’s spaciousness. A free-form control module and layered dashboard hold two 10.25-inch screens that serve as the digital gauge cluster and infotainment screen. According to GM Authority, the 2023 Buick Envista could see its way overseas in time for the 2024 model year.
