I bought my vehicle from CarMax back in March of 2022. About a month and a half after I bought it (2021 Chevy Trailblazer), when I shifted my car from P to D, it acted as if it were in N. I dropped my car off maybe 3 times at this point at the GM Lynnhaven location and it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. My check engine light wouldn’t stay on to grab the codes. Josh was my technician and he was awesome. He helped out as much as he could given the circumstances. This last time, my check engine light came back in, I called and was able to drop my vehicle off. David was my technician this time around. He was able to grab the codes and service was able to diagnose what was wrong. This entire time my transmission was failing and it had gotten so bad to the point where I didn’t feel safe driving it. This location was able to submit a ticket to GM and install a new transmission and when I picked my car up, I could tell the difference immediately. This team is excellent and I am so happy my vehicle is drivable, safe, and most importantly FIXED! Thank you so much!

I was not happy for the reason I had to have service (GM needed the parts numbers off recent chips installed for the safety driving mechanism...those should have been recorded prior to shipping them to my dealer) but the staff at the dealership are always kind and helpful.

Southern Buick GMC did excellent work repairing a failed belt tensioner on my GMC 3500 Denali Duramax. System damaged several other components around the tensioner, which took longer than initially planned. Both the mechanic and the service representative kept me informed of the status of my vehicle and verified all components operated normally before releasing it to me. Only thing I would recommend is when a vehicle is in for maintenance longer than a day, that a quick outside wash and vacuum be done, they did ensure fluid were top off. The overall repair took a week, most time waiting on parts. I do plan to return to the dealership for regularly scheduled maintenance.
