Consumer Reports Rates 2022 Buick Envision Best Luxury Compact SUV

The 2022 Buick Envision was recently rated as the best luxury compact SUV by Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports serves as an American nonprofit organization that’s dedicated to product testing, investigative journalism, and consumer research. Recently, Buick has been receiving a lot of praise and recognition. The automaker was able to score extremely high in the 2022 Customer Satisfaction Index. Now the automaker is working on producing an electric Buick as well as a larger Buick Envision GX trim. Buick Envision Scores High in Consumer Reports Evaluation

Consumer Reports recently categorized the 2022 Buick Envision as the top-rated luxury compact SUV of 2022. Operating as a nonprofit consumer research organization, Consumer Reporters helps consumers by providing them with analytical data about various vehicles. The nonprofit organization compiles a list within its Luxury Compact SUV category that includes those vehicles that score high based on specific characteristics. These characteristics include ride quality, cabin noise, braking performance, and road test evaluations.

The 2022 Buick Envision arrives with a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s capable of 228 horsepower and 258lb-ft of torque. Paired with a nine-speed transmission, the compact SUV can either be equipped with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. According to Consumer Reports, the 2022 Envision scored 84 points overall out of a possible 100 points. This put it in first place in its Luxury Compact SUV category. Consumer Reports determined this score based on its road tests as well as owner satisfaction surveys. Reliability surveys also helped place the Buick Envision higher among its competitors.

Consumer Reports did have some negative criticism about the 2022 Buick Envision, but it was nothing too harsh. The nonprofit organization criticized the SUV’s gear selector, interior dash vents, and aggressive acceleration when equipped with all-wheel drive. Nothing serious, but some points were taken from the Envision’s overall score. Despite these minor criticisms, the Buick Envision proves to be an affordable and reliable luxury SUV.
