What To Expect From The All-New 2023 GMC

The all-new 2023 GMC Canyon is here. The mid-size pickup truck arrives with a new redesign affecting its interior and exterior. The 2023 Canyon also sees improvements to its powertrain and the addition of an all-new off-road trim, the AT4X. This off-road trim equips the pickup truck with rugged hardware and advanced features that make it highly capable. A Denali Black Edition package also outfits the Canyon with luxurious design elements. The Next-Generation GMC Canyon Is Here

The all-new 2023 GMC Canyon is the most potent iteration yet. GMC made sure to improve every aspect of the mid-size pickup truck, from its performance to design. The next-generation 2023 Canyon is expected to arrive with several engine choices. One is likely to be an entry-level engine with 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. The other may deliver 301 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. GMC has confirmed that the all-new AT4X trim will use a turbocharged 2.7L inline-four engine. This engine will deliver 310 horsepower and 430lb-ft of torque. It will also provide the 2023 GMC Canyon with 7,700 pounds of towing capacity. 

In addition to the new powertrain options, the 2023 Canyon will also see new off-road equipment. While the AT4X trim considers the bulk of this equipment, the base Canyon will see increased ground clearance along with a 36.9-degree approach angle. The AT4X trim features 10.7 inches of ground clearance, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, Multimatic spool-valve dampers, and locking front/rear differentials for those wanting off-road capability. There’s also a drive mode selector that includes off-road and terrain modes. There’s an Edition 1 package with extra cameras, an integrated winch, bumpers, light bars, and more for additional features.

The 2023 GMC Canyon receives a redesigned cabin with updated technology for its interior. There’s a new digital gauge cluster, an 11-inch diagonal driver display screen, and an 11.3-inch touchscreen. With certain trims, the mid-size pickup will see either an Obsidian Rush or Jet Black interior. The AT4X trim sees additional features like an off-road performance system. It also gets a 6.3-inch head-up display and a 10-view camera system. The next-generation 2023 GMC Canyon will arrive at the beginning of 2023. It’s expected to start at an MSRP of around $41,000 (plus destination fee).
