The New 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X is About to Take Over the Roads

Able to tow up to 18,500 pounds and haul a payload of up to nearly 3300 pounds, the new  2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X and Extreme AEV Edition are making customers excited to get on the road. 

The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X and the Extreme AEV Edition will begin manufacturing sometime this fall. GMC hasn’t stated how much both models will cost.

Interior

Some details that will be included on these trucks are:

  • AEV Badging on the exterior and interior
  • AEV Racing 18 inch salta wheels with a 16-spoke design
  • Black accents on the door handle and tailgate
  • AEV embroidered front head restraints 
  • All-weather floor liners

The AT4X and Extreme AEV Edition have refreshing and stylish interiors. It is equipped with desirable content such as a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 13.4-inch center touchscreen, and a head-up display. It also has genuine wood interior trim, leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4X

The Sierra 2500HD AT4X features black 18-inch wheels wrapped with chunky 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires. The Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers help the truck stay up and allow it to have a suspension raised of 1.5 inches. This vehicle is ready for all terrains with its three separate spool valves that better help on-road composure and withstand off-road abuse. This feature is found on professional race cars and trucks. The truck’s backside is also better covered from taking a beating because of the addition of an aluminum front bash plate and a more giant steel skid plate for the transfer case. Exclusive to the 2024 Sierra 2500HD AT4X consists of a revised front suspension with superior steering knuckles in addition to unique upper and lower control arms.

Extreme AEV Edition

The Extreme AEV Edition is a more extreme off-roader with steel-stamped front and rear bumpers with many accommodations and restoration points. More bold underbody armor and a set of AEV-specific gloss-black 18-inch wheels complete the deal.

Both

Both the Sierra 2500HD AT4X and Extreme AEV Edition have the same 25.7-degree departure angle, and their floor clearance is virtually identical at 11.6—11.7 inches. However, the AEV has a slightly steeper breakover angle of 22.6 degrees as opposed to 21.2 degrees. Conversely, the AT4X has a more vertical approach angle of 31.6 as opposed to 29.8 degrees. The AEV accessories additionally make it heavier, with GMC claiming the gas-fed model weighs 378 pounds more, and the oil-burning one weighs 368 pounds more.
