A Sneak Peek Of What to Expect From The 2025 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL
The 2025 Yukon will not be a brand-new vehicle. Instead, it will be an updated version of the current fifth-generation model. This update is known as a Mid-Cycle Enhancement (MCE), meaning that it will be refreshed midway through its life cycle. The 2025 Yukon will not be an entirely new generation, but an improved version of the current model.
2025 GMC Yukon
The 2025 version of the GMC Yukon is expected to be an amazing full-size SUV that will continue to offer a spacious and luxurious ride to its passengers. While most of the vehicles will remain the same as the current generation model, there will be some significant changes that are sure to grab your attention.
For instance, the front and rear fascias have been redesigned to give the vehicle a more sophisticated appearance. Additionally, new wheel sizes and designs will be introduced, further enhancing the already impressive exterior. To provide a more comfortable and intuitive driving experience, the cockpit was also updated. The interior has been given a fresh new look, with premium materials used throughout the cabin.
The 2025 GMC Yukon will be equipped with a turbo-diesel engine that is both powerful and efficient, offering a smooth and quiet ride. The 4G connectivity in current models will be replaced with 5G connectivity, providing faster and more reliable internet access. The 2025 GMC Yukon is set to be a top-of-the-line SUV that will deliver both style and performance.
The 2024 Yukon is available as a regular-length Yukon or an extended-length Yukon XL. There were four trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate.
According to sources, the upcoming vehicle will have an updated exterior design that features the latest C-shaped headlight treatment of GMC on the front fascia. The design will be similar to the 2024 GMC Acadia. Additionally, the vehicle will come with new fog lights and a roof-mounted communications fin that supports 5G connectivity. At the back, there will be changes in the form of revised tail lamps and minor modifications to the rear fascia. The exhaust outlets will also be redesigned, with lower-end models featuring dual through-fascia finishers, while others will get a quad-tipped setup. There will be several new wheel options, including a set of new 24-inch wheels, along with those new exterior color choices.
Under the 2025 GMC Yukon Hood
The 2025 GMC Yukon is expected to come with three engine options. The first two are the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. Both were present in the previous model. The new Yukon will introduce a new engine – the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine. This six-cylinder turbo-diesel will replace the previous 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel baby Duramax. According to rumors, the straight-six turbo-diesel may also be an optional feature on the Yukon AT4. It’s important to note that the LM2 diesel was not available in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 models of the AT4 due to the off-roader’s unique high-cut fascia packing constraints.
All three engine options will come standard with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, drivers can select either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive for optimal performance.
