The AT4X trim utilizes the same turbocharged 2.7L inline-four engine but it receives increased ground clearance–10.7 inches– and a wider front and rear track width. The AT4X trim also rides on 33-inch mud-terrain tires and features Multimatic spool-valve dampers and locking front/rear differentials. The new Canyon AT4X also has skid plates and a larger transfer case shield to protect underneath the truck. 

3) Exterior Design 

Along with the new off-road trim, GMC gave the 2023 Canyon a new redesign. The mid-size pickup truck features a bolder and sleeker design. GMC has given the Canyon a wider track, a new front fascia grille, and C-shaped LED lighting headlamps. The truck also has corner step rear bumpers and new all-terrain tires.

4) Interior Design 

Another part of the new redesign was the interior. The 2023 GMC Canyon features a reimagined cabin that is now driver-oriented. GMC has also designed the cabin with a more modern and high-tech aesthetic. Owners can opt for various trims like the Denali that will elevate the interior design. This trim offers a Jet Black interior with Teak accents. Owners will also enjoy new technology such as a new digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen.

5) Driver-Assist Features

The fifth reason to consider the 2023 Canyon is its driver-assist features. The mid-size pickup truck offers drivers towing features like the trailering app which helps them with towing and hauling. There are also features like a 10-camera view system which provides a view of the truck’s front and rear underbody. Finally, there are driver modes like terrain, overlanding, and Baja which help navigate off-road terrain.
