The 2023 GMC Canyon was recently spotted wrapped in camouflage. The mid-size pickup is set to arrive in 2023 as the third-generation GMC Canyon. Based on the full-body camouflage, the pickup may be sporting a new premium Denali trim. It may even be the Denali Ultimate trim which GMC recently released for the 2023 GMC Yukon. As of late, GMC has been focusing on its all-electric 2023 GMC Hummer EV. The automaker has also been preparing its 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV as well. Despite focusing on its electrification efforts, GMC is still providing updates to its combustion engine lineup. We’ll take a look at the 2023 GMC Canyon and see what consumers can expect from the new trim.

2023 GMC Canyon  May Receive New Trim

The 2023 GMC Canyon was recently spotted wrapped in camouflage. While the mid-size pickup has a release date set for 2023, recent spy shots have hinted that a new trim may be in the works. GMC recently unveiled a new trim for the 2023 GMC Yukon, the Denali Ultimate, so many are speculating that the Canyon may receive the same treatment. Not too many details could be seen due to the wrappings, but we do know that it will arrive with more than a handful of changes and updates. The 2023 GMC Canyon will be the third generation of the midsize pickup so consumers can expect a more modern design as well as advanced driver-assist and safety features.

The recent spy shots of the 2023 GMC Canyon hint that the mid-size pickup is likely a premium Denali trim. This is evidenced by the large polished wheels. Changes to the pickup appear to be made to the front end based on the front bumper and grille. There are production headlights with a two-tiered design as well as forward-facing headlights lower on the front fascia. There are also horizontal lighting signatures higher up on the fascia. A pair of fog lights can also be seen in the middle of the front bumper.

The wheels of the wrapped 2023 GMC Canyon look to be about 20-inches with all-terrain material. On the sides of the truck are side steps. Along with the exterior redesign, the mid-size pickup should come with a new interior. This new interior will likely be modeled after the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Fans of the GMC Canyon can also expect the pickup to feature a new powertrain. Though we don’t have specifics, the truck will likely feature a turbocharged 2.7L inline-four-cylinder engine, similar to the Sierra 1500. Those looking forward to the 2023 GMC Canyon can expect the truck to arrive in 2023.
